About Security Webcam

Computer webcams are a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, but they can also be dangerous.

Almost all laptops have a light that turns on whenever the camera is on. A feature that hackers can't disable since it's controlled electronically, not programmatically.

Typically, a webcam hacker sends his victim an innocent-looking application which has a hidden Trojan software through which the hacker can control the victim's webcam. The hacker virus installs itself silently when the victim runs the original application. Once installed, the hacker can turn on the webcam and capture pictures/videos. The hacker software works just like the original webcam software present in the victim computer, the only difference being that the hacker controls the software instead of the webcam owner.

Camfecting is considered to be one of the most serious and dangerous intrusions into an individual's privacy. Be mindful of the small indicator light next to the Webcam and ensure that it is off when not in use. Webcam spying are you protected ?
